This sweet specialty was prepared, since 1700, in convents, rectory and private homes in Frignano (MO) with local fruits such as almonds, hazelnuts and walnuts. Traces of its production have remained in the archives of the parishes and abbeys, places where births, marriages and various events were recorded: in fact, in the registers there are hints on the use of Artistic Crunchy in ceremonies. Since then, the crunchy has always adorned the tables on occasions of weddings (combined with the wedding cake), celebrations, festivities throughout the historic area of Frignano. We have chosen the Sapori del Borgo Antico crunchy for their ability to use high quality raw materials at Km 0 and the extremely artisanal work in all the individual phases; Sapori del Borgo Antico is a small business located in Montebonello, in the Modenese Apennines, specializing in the creation of excellences based on hand-made and artisanal chocolate. Tiziana, one of the most famous chocolate masters in the area, gives life to truly unmissable works of art, bringing together her experience with high quality raw materials and at Km 0.
