Rice of the Po Delta I.G.P. Carnaroli FICO line
Pack of 800 gr
History:
Rice is one of the oldest food plants and is native to Southeast Asia.
The introduction in Italy seems to have occurred first in the south by the Arabs and the Spaniards.
Rice cultivation in the Po Delta dates back to 1400, although extensive and organized production only developed in the 16th century, thanks to the Este family, who managed to exploit the marshy lands that would otherwise have remained abandoned.
Product description:
Here is Carnaroli IGP, a famous and prestigious variety that can keep cooking very well and is used in the best restaurants for excellent quality risotto.
The main characteristic common to these rices, which differentiates them from many others on the market, is that they are pure.
It means that all the grains have the same size and origin, without being mixed with other similar grains of other varieties: in this way you are sure to buy "all" Carnaroli.
They are also highly digestible rice.
In addition to the classic Terre del Riso version, we offer the elegant and colorful "Fico" packaging, therefore suitable for special gifts.
Tips & Pairing:
Few foods are so versatile in the kitchen: starting with the appetizer and ending with the dessert, you can prepare a whole meal with rice.
We recommend trying the Carnaroli Igp "Fico" line in a risotto with porcini mushrooms from Borgotaro Igp: superlative.
